We showed the pictures in our last newsletter of the ceremony taking place to lay the foundation stone for the new wing. For those who have not heard it before, as the hospital is now having more patients transported from the villages to the hospital for treatment which cannot be given in the field, we were in desperate need to extend the facilities at the base hospital.

The Friends of the Tarabai Desai Eye Hospital came to the rescue and have secured, with the help of another charity and many other donors, sufficient funds to start the project.
